Many People Ask,
"Why are you running for the Board of Education?"
Chris believes that now is a critical time for the Bridgewater-Raritan School District. With a new Superintendent, Dr. Victor Hayek on board, and many changes in administration continuing to impact the district, there are many topics under consideration by the board. Chris has sat on the sidelines for a year watching and listening to discussions had by the board of education focused on budget, policies, declining enrollment, and one of the major topics over the past year, Full Day Kindergarten.
The topic of Full Day Kindergarten is how Chris got involved in following the Board of Education, however this is not his sole purpose for running for a position on the Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education. His belief is that we need to focus on the needs for all children within the district. He wants to see EVERY student provided a quality education, regardless of whether they qualify for specific academic programs based on need or achievement. Each child is special and every community member has the right to be heard.
Chris is eager to work with the members on the Board of Education to make the Bridgewater-Raritan School District the best it can be!
